Prince 2 is a well defined Project Management methodology while RUP ( Rational Unified Process) is used as a software development methodology over years . How to make best out of both while you use as Prince 2 for the PM methodology and RUP for the development methodology..

I thought Prince 2 is a video game..
Thushara, the link you have given is great! I definitely agree that Prince2 could be adopted into RUP SW environments. Specially from a SL point of view, where Prince is not very popular but RUP is, this actually shows a door, which could be used to push Prince2 through.
There are so many reasons to make Prince popular, not just its' popularity in other parts of the world. Arguably it provides the strongest Project Management methodology. So, as I've mentioned in my recent blog, PMBoK and Prince2 are also complementary, they can co-exist. Within the Prince2 methodology framework, PMI techniques and details could be applied.
Thushara, check out the articles posted under the forums section at Software Projects - they have some great tips for the ones looking to make money with their software programs
where are you girl? How is the new baby?
There is a growing tendency to integrate methodologies. I assume to get the best of both worlds.
We should of however not forget that a methodology is usually a simplification of reality, with all the downsides that come with it. Therefore integrating methodologies does not necessarily offer synergy.
An diverging assumption might be that each of those methodologies to be integrated is in itself flawed. Which assumption might lead to the conclusion that we should actually rethink the situation at a higher level.
(BTW : I have taken the liberty of putting up a link to PROJECTIZED at my own website.)
You could not be mistaken?
